Designed for Students Seeking Top SCores

A One-of-a-Kind ACT Class for High-Achieving Students

The 30+ ACT Class is an intensive 7-week course designed and taught by Matthew Stroup. Most high-achieving students are bored in regular ACT class because the class moves too slowly. Not here! The 30+ ACT Class is a fast-paced and rigorous course that focuses on the advanced topics that students need to master to achieve scores of 30 and above on test day.

Our class is the first ACT Class to include On-Demand Online Courses and Full Test Explanations. In most classes, half of class time is spent reviewing homework and practice tests - and even all of that time still leaves most students with unanswered questions. To fix that problem, we recorded individual video explanations for every single question assigned for homework and for 4 full practice ACTs.

Students in the 30+ ACT Class are given 6 months of full access to the Ultimate ACT Course ($600 value), so students can review their mistakes before class begins. This not only gives students a more complete learning experience (and most importantly better scores!) but also allows us to cover much more content than a traditional ACT course. so our students can review their mistakes before class begins. This not only gives students a better experience (and better scores!) but also allows us to cover much more content than a traditional ACT course.

1. Proven Results

On average, students completing the class improve by 5 points! Most students score a 30 or above after completing the class, and we have had many students score 34, 35, and even a perfect 36!

2. 70+ Hours of Online Courses and Test Explanations

Most ACT Prep classes spend half of class time reviewing homework and practice tests - and even all that time leave most students with unanswered questions. We have recorded individual video explanations for every single question assigned for homework and for 4 full practice ACTs in the Ultimate ACT Course, so students can review their mistakes before class begins. This not only gives students a more complete learning experience (and most importantly better scores!) but also allows us to cover much more content than a traditional ACT course.

As part of the course, students are given 6 months of access to the Ultimate ACT Course (all of our online ACT Courses) that has over 70 hours of content ($600 value).

3. Efficient Classroom Time

During the 21 hours of live classroom instruction, Matthew will cover the content that is featured on the ACT in the most efficient way possible. Top students have very busy schedules, so we make sure that every minute during our class is spent learning.

4. Recorded Lectures

All lectures are recorded and made available to students. Do you have a conflict and will miss a class? Or just want to watch the lecture again to study? Not a problem. You can access the lectures anytime during the course.

5. Practice, Practice, Practice

Students will complete 4 full practice ACTs during the class. Practice tests are self-administered at home. In addition, students will be assigned 3-4 hours of homework each week on the topics covered during class. Students also have access to unlimited additional practice ACTs.

6. Limited Class Size

Our class has a maximum of 25 students. While other companies may allow over 40 students in a single class, we limit our class size to make sure students can participate and ask questions.

7. Best in Class Materials

We write all of our own materials. We do not do this because it is fun. We do this because we are committed to providing our students with the best prep materials. All prep materials are included in the 30+ ACT class (with the exception of the PrepPros Complete Guide To ACT Math, which is purchased separately).

Class Description

The 30+ ACT Course takes place over the course of 7 weeks. The class is taught in a classroom where students can attend in-person (if local to San Diego) or remotely. The teacher will be using an iPad to teach the content, which can be viewed live by students in the classroom on a monitor and via Zoom by students attending remotely. Both in-person and remote students can ask questions and get answers live during class. All lectures are recorded for any students who miss class due to a conflict or want to rewatch lectures as they prepare for test day.

Students take 4 practice ACTs that take just over 3 hours each. In addition to the practice tests, students can expect 4-5 hours of assigned homework each week. Each course leads up to an official ACT Test Date, and we recommend that students take the ACT right after completing the course.

All ACT Prep materials will be provided to students as part of the class with the exception of the PrepPros Complete Guide to ACT Math, which is purchased separately.

 Frequently Asked Questions

Who Is This Class Best For?

This class is best for any student aiming for scores of 30 and above on the ACT. Most students who enroll in this class score anywhere from 25-33 on their first practice ACT. Since this class is faster paced and more advanced, it is generally best for higher-achieving students who have higher GPAs, are enrolled in AP and honors courses, and thrive in a classroom environment.

For students scoring above 33 on their practice ACT, this class can also be a great resource to push their scores even higher. This class covers everything on the ACT, and students have achieved 34s, 35s, and even a perfect 36 after taking this course.

What Happens If A Student Misses A Class?

All lectures are recorded and made available to students shortly after each class, so any student who misses a class can watch the recorded lecture anytime before the next class to catch up.

How Does The Remote Classroom Work?

We use Zoom while teaching the 30+ ACT Class. The instructor and pages are visible, and the student has a copy of the book, ACT binder pages, or practice tests that we are working from. We share our screens and use iPads that we write directly on, so both in-person and remote students can see exactly what we are working on while teaching class or answer questions from students attending in-person or remotely.

During class, students can ask questions anytime via a chat box or by unmuting themselves. The instructor answers questions live during class.

How Do Practice Tests Work?

Practice tests are self-proctored at home.  We provide the practice tests along with scantron sheets and self-timing sheets.  We do not offer remote proctoring because, well, we believe it is completely unnecessary.  Our students are busy and scattered across the country and across the world.  We trust that they can self-time their practice tests at home.

Parents are welcome to act as the proctor for their student during these practice tests, but students most commonly will just time themselves. It is important to treat the practice tests as much like a real test as possible, so we encourage students to try to take the practice tests in a quiet environment without interruptions on a Saturday or Sunday morning just like the real ACT.

My Student Scored Below A 25 On The ACT. Can He Or She Take The 30+ ACT Class?

A student who scores lower than 25 on a real or practice ACT can also benefit from this class as long as the student does well in a classroom environment and has strong study skills. We often recommend adding in private tutoring or using additional PrepPros Courses, such as the self-paced online courses, for students who at times find the pacing of the course difficult and need additional resources.

If you are unsure if you students is a good fit for the 30+ ACT Class, please use the sign-up form below to ask us, and we can advise on what the best option will be for your student.

How Much Does The Average Student Improve By During The Class?

On average, students improve their composite ACT score by 5 points during the class. Some students improve by as many as 8 points while others improve 2 or 3 points. How much a student improves depends on their initial scores and how much time and effort he or she is dedicating to ACT Prep outside of class.

What Do You Use For ACT Prep Materials?

The best materials are critical to the best prep. We do not love anything else out there, so we write all of our own materials. For math, we use the math book that we have written and published: PrepPros Complete Guide to ACT Math. For English, Reading, and Science, we have our own custom-written 400+ page ACT notebook that covers the content, strategies, and test-taking tips that students will need to learn for success on test day.

How Do We Get The ACT Prep Materials?

All materials will be mailed to your home before the first class. For students in the United States, there is no additional cost. For students outside of the United States, materials can be shipped for an additional fee or PDF versions of the materials can be provided.

How Do Students Use The Online Courses And Test Explanations?

Students are given a code to use to sign up for all of our Online Courses. Once they are signed up, students will have access to all of our Online SAT Courses for 6-months.

Do You Offer A Money-Back Guarantee?

No, we do not. We offer a first class guarantee. If you do not love the first class, we will refund your entire purchase with no questions asked.

Do You Offer A Guaranteed Score Increase?

No, we do not. As tutors, we provide the best prep possible, but we are only half of the team. We cannot control the variety of factors that can affect how a student performs on test day. How much was the student studying? How did they manage the pressure and stress of test day? Does the students suffer from testing anxiety? All of these factors can affect the scores.

Additionally, any test prep company offering a “money-back guarantee” is not really offering a guarantee. If you read the fine print, students must complete a very large number of practice tests and all homework assignments. Plus, your child needs to have already taken an official ACT before beginning the process. Want to sign up the 30+ ACT Class, complete 300 pages of homework assignments, and take 15 practice tests just to qualify for a guarantee? Yeah, we did not think so.
